The G.O. Help Haiti project was created in response to the catastrophic earthquake in Haiti in January of 2010.
G.O. Ministries needed a way to communicate need and information through a single site. With over twenty missionaries in the U.S., Dominican Republic and Haiti the ministry needed a coordinated way to consolidate individual missionary blogs, twitter accounts and facebook causes into one package. Their current ministry site did not have the options or flexibility that were required but readily available with Drupal. As of this posting, January 30, 2010 over 500,000 lbs. of supplies have been airlifted into Haiti and hundreds of thousands of dollars raised in part due to this site. Were it not for Drupal and it's broad abilities and flexibilities some of this may have not been possible. Hat's off to all drupal designers, programmers and enthusiasts everywhere. You helped make a difference.

Thanks! These guys are great my wife and I travel to the Dominican Republic with them every summer and work in and around Santiago. I have been to Haiti with them once as well. I have been learning Drupal for about 9 or 10 months and had yet to put up a live site but when this need came up I offered and they accepted. I have been thrilled with the response and the need it met.
