Most of the quote sites I came across were crappy and really spammy. I wanted to make something clean and full of positive quotes.
It's a *fairly* straightforward Drupal site. A Drupal 7 build, one of my first with responsive design - that is the same theme works on tablets and mobile (still need to get it looking great at the mobile size).
It uses basic CCK/Views to list the various categories of quotes. It also uses Webform, Admin Menu, Nice Menus, CKEditor, XML Sitemap and some other basic modules.
This is also my first theme that uses a grid system. I used the Skeleton framework and it seemed to work out pretty well. Nothing too fancy, but I think the end result is nice and clean. (Well I hope so at least!)
