In the 1920’s and early 1930’s Rum Runners smuggled liquor to regions where governments had banned its consumption. The liquor trade had gone underground and it was all back alley deals and secret parlors. It was risky and lucrative; and even attracted organized crime with the likes of Alphonse G. Capone.

I must have some left over CSS in the IE only stylesheets. I will look to fixing that shortly.
As far as the transparency goes for IE 6 it is a little more then a jQuery fix. The transparent background is not actually a background image at all. It is 10 x 10 png that was absolutely positioned below the content and set to 100% height and width. For IE 6 I had to use the css behaviour .htc hack and a small bit of jQuery to get it to size to 100% height. So it works in most browsers without any JS.
