Koumbit is a Montreal-based non-profit organisation bringing together about 20 IT and design professionals in order to:

1. Promote appropriation of Free, Libre & Open Source Software (FLOSS) by community groups in Quebec, Canada and abroad by creating a collectively managed hosting platform and by providing technical services and support related to the use of FLOSS tools.
2. Create a space for pooling of skills and resources for progressive minded autonomous IT workers.
