Decompiler java

he “Java Decompiler project” aims to develop tools in order to decompile and analyze Java 5 “byte code” and the later versions.

java class decompiler

An alternative to JD-GUI could be Jad (v1.5.8g) used with JadRetro tool (jadretro.sf.net). While it doesn't produce java generics, it produces the source code (including for Java 1.5+ classes) functionally equivalent to the original and compilable (back).
At present, IMHO, JadRetro+Jad give better results than JD-GUI in producing compilable source code.
