ICS is Commission on Higher Education's (CHED) Center of Excellence for IT Education for 2007. ICS offers undergraduate and graduate degrees: BS Computer Science, Diploma in Computer Science, Master of Information Technology, MS in Computer Science and Ph.D. in Computer Science. ICS is strong in research on the following fields: Algorithms and Complexity, Machine Vision, Soft Computing, High-Performance Computing, and Web Engineering. ICS has 10 specialized computer laboratories, each has 24 workstations, 4 100-seat multimedia lecture halls, and a 254-node compute and visualization cluster. ICS is an autonomous institute of the University of the Philippines Los Baños.
