Communications Research Centre Canada (CRC), an Agency of Industry Canada, is Canada's primary federal laboratory for research and development in advanced telecommunications. The CRC Web Site was originally built on a ColdFusion-based content management system designed by Kristian Lance in 1998, which was rewritten in PHP a couple of years later. CRC's main Drupal 4.7 site was launched on June 21, 2006, and by July all remaining internal and external web sites had been migrated to Drupal. The upgrade of all CRC web sites to Drupal 5.x was completed in August 2007, and testing is currently underway for the upgrade to 6.x.
