According to the by-laws of Hacettepe University's Board of Student Representatives, each year the Faculty of Letters must elect student representatives for all of its existing departments and programs. This year, these representatives were elected on October 22 – 24, 2007.

In order to make its newly-admitted Freshmen students feel part of the Hacettepe community, the Faculty of Letters organized its second annual orientation program on October 22 – 23, 2007. The orientation consisted of two morning and two afternoon sessions.

Hacettepe University has just established a Disability Research and Implementation Center.

This center, which is currently operating under the auspices of the Faculty of Letters' Student Advisement Center (ÖDM) and the Student Council Advisement Center (ÖKDO), was established to assist disabled Beytepe students and staff members with their special needs.

A group of students from our faculty are planning on visiting the following exhibitions in Istanbul: “Genghis Khan and His Successors – The Mongolian Empire,” located at the Sakip Sabanci Museum; “Leonardo – The Universal Genius” at the Rahmi Koc Museum; and “Venetia – Istanbul” at the Istanbul Museum of Modern Art. Bus transportation to Istanbul will be provided: we will depart on Friday, December 15, 2006, at 24:00, and return to Ankara on Saturday, December 16, 2006, at 24:00.
