The Gates of Horn

I recently overheard some people, obviously on different TV publicized diets, talking at each other about their need for protein. This matter probably interests some of you who realize that taking care of your vehicle in this incarnation and in this country is harder than it used to be because of the TV and processed food ads. And I heard them talking at each other about A protein being better than B protein, and on and on.

Since the last posting about NOW I have had queries about how the NOW factor affects energy workers and their healing modalities, and if there were any principles that could be applied to healing modalities like Reiki, Dar’ Shem, Quantum Touch etc., that come under the heading of energy work. This is the gist of the letter I usually send in reply, with matters personal to the correspondent deleted. I hope it will be of interest, though it only skims the surface of an immensely deep subject.

Eckhart Tolle wrote The Power of Now years ago. Mine has a copyright date of 1999 and I have bought and given away many copies since then. I have read thousands of books on matters spiritual, philosphical and magickal over the years but when someone gave me the Desert Island book question I said that the only two books I would need would be The Power of Now and the Complete Works of Shakespeare. The querent was horrified that I didn’t pick The Holy Bible.

Our wedding anniversary was recently the occasion for visits from energy workers in several practices. When I mentally checked them over they included practitioners of Reiki, Dar’ Shem, Quantum Touch, Metamorphosis, Cranio-Sacral, Acupressure, EFT, Runic Healing, Ortho Bionomy, Body Talk and a few hybrids.
