The IVRPA Board of Directors is pleased to announce a series of contests, with the goal to showcase the work of IVRPA members at Photokina 2008; The largest event in the Photography industry worldwide! Like the previous editions of this biannual event, the IVRPA has secured a booth at this great event.

VRMag 30 is available

Issue 30 is up, with a whole bunch of good content, including a series of interviews with the team behind the effects in Speed Racer.

All IVRPA members were invited to an online chat, on Tuesday 15th April.

On the agenda for this chat were two main topics:
The IVRPA presence at Photokina, this year's 'conference'.
The IVRPA and the IAPP

We welcome your input, suggestions, and comments and how you feel the organizations might better serve you and each other an the international public.

VRMAG is back!

VRMAG, one of the VR industry's institutions, is back after a small hiatus. From Marco Trezzini's announcement:

You're just a click away from VRMAG's relaunch issue 28:
the most complete ever published with 45 articles, 11 contributing
writers and panoramas from 29 contributing photographers.

In addition to the simplified and interactive panorama navigation we
added a panoramic leaflet, as a new navigation method to access to
the articles. VRMAG also has a new blog and a Yahoo group.

Each year seven members of the IVRPA board of directors are elected by
the general membership. Starting immediately IVRPA will
begin accepting candidate statements from IVRPA members who wish to serve on the 2008-2009
board. (Check the members-only forum section for candidate statements).

World Wide Panorama - Sustenance (19-23 Sep 2007)

The next event in the World Wide Panorama begins tomorrow, September 19.

- The theme is "Sustenance". Interpret it any way you wish, literally or imaginatively.

- Photography must be done during the period September 19 through 23 (local time and date).

- The prep server will open for submissions tomorrow also, and close for final editing on October 5.

2007 IVRPA Conference in Berkeley: Videos & DVDs now available!

The 2007 IVRPA Panoramic Photography Conference was a huge success, with over 100 attendees, lots of informative sessions and great informal get-togethers -- , everyone had a great time! During the conference, IVRPA member Robert Fisher shot over 40 hours of video of the sessions which we are now offering to both members and non-members. We are charging a bit of money for them in an effort to break even on the cost for the time & materials it takes to produce the videos. We have tried to keep the purchase price as low as possible so everyone may benefit.

PanoTools Meeting 2007 in Lucerne/Switzerland

As our conference in Berkeley slowly comes to its end, the preparations for next panoramic gathering in Europe just started: From August 8th to 10th the PanoTools Meeting 2007 takes place in Lucerne/Switzerland with a series of talks. There will be also two days of excursions to Zermatt which lies right in the heart of the Swiss Alps, on foot of the famous Matterhorn.

IVRPA Panoramic Photography Contest 2007: Print Results!

Hi everyone!

I want to thank everyone, again, for their interest and enthusiasm surrounding the IVRPA Panoramic Photography Contest. All winning print images and interactive presentations were announced during the banquet Sunday night and applauded mightily. Congratulations to all.

The Print panoramas were printed and mounted, courtesy of IVRPC sponsor Pictopia.com.

By popular demand the IVRPA will have the contest gallery back in place soon (sometime after the conference ends).
