If you have surfed for a quite long time, you may have seen that there's very much more different kind of scripts on websites.

I've seen that sometimes Flash ads are the biggest thing that slows the whole page down. I've played Flash games in sites that cointained few Flash ads per page causing a slow-down.

Of course, machines are getting always better, so new machines will survive. The best records are achieved by Windows, when Linux causes problems with performance and compatiblity. I would call this operating system racism.

Finally, I was brave enough to flash my BIOS. Now I'm proud.

Of course, I'll publish my way to do it as a tutorial now:

1. Collect all you need. I used following tools:

Hardware:
AA1 (the machine, you're going to flash)

Devices:
- USB Storage (Flash drive preferred)

Software:
- HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool (use Google)

The last post I wrote before that, I told about the poor distro pre-installed on my Acer Aspire One (later AA1). I didn't like it, so I changed it and now it's running Ubuntu.

Configuration wasn't as easy as it would be. Ubuntu 8.10 doesn't include compatible WLAN drivers in it, so I downloaded, built and installed it. Some configuration files had to be or were suggested to be modified and I modified some.

Now I have it. It's under configuration but I may install Ubuntu or something in future.

Preinstalled distro in this laptop is quite stable but it's also really simple. First configuration script asks you for the language you want to use and the normal time/date question. Unfortunately, Finnish isn't supported, so I have to use English.
