Michael Jackson is doing the impossible today and turning 50-years-old.  I think the world half expected his face to crumble in by now, but he made it! 
MJ told People that he'll have a low key celebration with his three kids Prince Michael, 11, Paris, 10, and Prince Michael II, 6.  "A little cake with my children and we'll probably watch some cartoons."  Well as much as we didn't expect him to still be around we probably didn't expect such a tame response either.  Have good one Michael!

This is the double date of the century (or at least the month)! We had the good fortune to spot Joe Jonas and his rumored girlfriend Taylor Swift and Nick Jonas with his rumored girlfriend Selena Gomez all leaving Tao restaurant together in Manhattan last night!  (Kevin Jonas was also there, cuz who doesn't love being a fifth wheel?)

The daters tried to play it cool as they exited the restaurant, however Taylor and Selena held hands; I'm sure they're afraid of being pelted by batteries by the JoBros fans!  Hopefully this whole dating thing won't erupt into a scandal, you know how easy it is for those Disney stars to blow their wholesome image!

Kelly Bruno may have had her leg amputated at 6 months old, but that hasn't stopped her one bit from excelling in the world of sports and lending her brilliant athletic skills to the US Open this week.

Kelly, who has a prosthetic right leg,  has been a championship athlete since her teens and has recently proven herself as a world-class athlete and has gone onto the Iron Man competitions.  Now, at age 24, Kelly is running the courts with her fellow all-star athletes, except this time she is on the sidelines, scooping up and throwing tennis balls.

 “It’s definitely harder than I expected,” she told the New York Times. “For me the running is not as tiresome, but I didn’t think standing was going to be so exhausting.”  But Kelly's supervisor at the ball program, Tina Taps said “I can’t say she’s no different than anyone else...She’s actually probably superior in terms of athletic ability.”

We spotted Jessica Szohr on the set of Gossip Girl yesterday, holding a red plastic cup-the universal symbol for keg parties!  Jessica, along with Ed Westwick, Chace Crawford, Taylor Momsen, Leighton Meester (we know it's you behind that paper), Penn Badgley, Nicole Fiscella and Amanda Setton (Blair's cohorts) were all busy at work to bring you season two of GG!  How excited are you for the season premiere?! 3 days and counting...

             

Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps held a little tutorial at a YMCA in New York City yesterday.  Michael gave a group of lucky kids some swimming lessons as part of Visa's Play Every Day jump-start campaign that gave a grant to the YMCA of Greater New York to help improve spaces where America's youth can play. 

These kids must have been psyched to gave a visit from Michael, I know I'm pretty psyched to see him with out that Olympic-sized, extra modest (although streamlined) bathing suit; love the tiny trunks!

        

Mackenzie Phillips allowed her half-sister Bijou Phillips to bail her out of a Van Nuys, Calif. jail yesterday.  As we previously reported, Mackenzie was arrested at a California airport for alleged possession of cocaine and heroin.  At first Mackenzie denied bail but gave in and Bijou posted the $10,000 to get her released.  Hopefully Mackenzie will get the help she needs and get this mess cleared up!

     

Kevin Jonas is moving up in the world!  We spotted the oldest Jonas Brother shopping on Fifth Ave. in New York City yesterday, accompanied by his very large body guard. Kevin made stops at such stores as Gucci and Louis Vuitton, well alright then fancy pants!  I wonder if Kevin's fans really know how fashionable he is...

    

We spotted Kingston Rossdale with his dad Gavin Rossdale yesterday.  The two played at a park in Hollywood.  I'm sure Gwen appreciates having some time to rest, after all it's no easy feat to balance both a toddler and a new born.  Speaking of, when do we get to see baby Zuma? The world is waiting!

     

Blake Lively made her debut on The Late Show with David Letterman last night.  The Gossip Girl first greeted fans in what  appeared to be nothing more than a man's dress shirt; um, did you run out of the house, Blake?  The second dress was indeed an actual dress, a blue chiffon number with a black slash.  But still, what the hell was that shirt she was wearing before? Anyone know what was up with that?
