2008/10/02 3000 drupal powered sites mark and more
A few new things:
- Hurray! It is more then 3000 (three thousand) Drupal powered sites are listed for now! Great news and great source of inspiration for Drupal site owners and developers. I had some bottle(s) of nice local wine on this occasion, that's why I'm writing only a few days later (joking).
- Drupal core and a all modules are upgraded to the newest at the moment.
- Just to satisfy our other part of the world (you know which) adult sites are filtered out from most visited, random sites, most voted, etc. So adult sites are only accessible trough direct link from appropriate category. (Seriously, seeing an obviously naked cute raccoon or a Corgi puppy would get me more excited then seeing any (semi)naked human. Am I too European?).
- Drupal 6 upgrade is in closed testing. There are a few modules which are not yet ready for D6. Most probably drupasites.net will go with CCK link field instead of currently used links bundle.
- Advertising. One of the most requested features (you will not believe it) is going to be live in next 1-2 weeks. The prices and placement will be nice to satisfy drupalsites.net users and advertisers alike. More on that soon.
- Spam filtering is now managed by Mollom.
2008/08/26 See you at Drupalcon Szeged.
Hey fellow drupallers. I'm off to Drupalcon in Szeged. See you there.
It would be nice to see 3000th Drupal powered site listed while conference lasts. It's just in 48 more submissions!

2008/02/06 DrupalSites on del.icio.us
I even forgot that I have the del.icio.us account. I don't like to keep links that much but sometimes it's handy to have some links in sync. So... while discovering the service again I it turned out there are 470 people bookmarked the DrupalSites.net (not that bad I think) and there are some user notes about it as well. I decided to post a few ones that catch my attention:
Doing my homework and checking these out
drupal showcase from cutefolio to one just about keeping your basement from flooding. seriously...

2008/01/10 Yay! It's 2000 Drupal powered sites listed!
It's now over 2000 amazing Drupal powered websites listed at DrupalSites.net. A big thank you and congratulations everyone! Don't forget to submit yours (or even not yours but nice)!
It took almost exactly 10 months to beat the previous 1000 sites record for DrupalSites.net. What we have now is quite a strong 2000+ showcase. I hope that a lot of nice examples listed will inspire Drupal developers to make new websites better and more competitive.

2007/11/09 Big G's back!
It was almost a month after reporting odd issue with Google indexing. But another good news for today: big G's back! Less then 15% of the site is reindexed for now though. At least here from Europe.
I hope reindexing will add some comfort and power back to searching excellent Drupal sites via Google.

2007/11/09 drupalsites.net nice update deployed
So what's new: the major thing is redesigned interface. It now allows to navigate much easier among almost 2000 sites listed and in more compact / shortcut way. What else:
Random site selection: A highly recommended way to browse. You'll be able to find some random gems submitted some time ago (vs recently updated). More over each site listing has a random selection block at the bottom which may give some nice choice to navigate to other site.
Favorites (members only): you can easily collect all your favorites without overloading your browser with new bookmarks.
My Drupal sites (members only): all your submissions listed at one page. Easy way to check ratings, clicks or update your site data or screenshot.
Submission policies and procedure are cleared up now, screenshot upload fixed... + much more smaller fixes were deployed.
Please live your comments on what else should be added / changed.
And big thanks to everybody who are contributing to the project!

Great guys at or hosting company (metanet.ch) will be moving the account to a more powerful server around 09:00 CET (Zurich) tomorrow.
As a consequence drupalsites.net may be inaccessible for some time during the procedure.
