Vector plans to install a fibre optic network in New Zealand - Drupal is helping
As a result of the New Zealand Government's Ultra-Fast Broadband Investment Initiative, we could soon have access to ultra-fast broadband at speeds 50 times quicker than what’s considered fast today!
A fibre optic network has the ability to transform your life by opening up educational, health, business, and lifestyle opportunities. And as Auckland is the economic hub of New Zealand it is essential that it keeps pace with the rest of the developed world. It will change the way you live, work and play.
Vector wants to install fibre to the door in Auckland and has a plan to reach over 450,000 customers within seven years, and also supports rollout to the rest of the country through the efforts of its fellow New Zealand Regional Fibre Group members.
Please show your support and have your say @ http://www.fibretothedoor.co.nz/

Brazen Careerist: A Career-Focused Social Network for Young Professionals
Brazen Careerist is a premier Generation Y career-based social network. Our goal is to help shift job seeker's and the recruiter's approaches to focus on social strengths and ideas instead of just experience. We have been using Drupal for almost two years to help us scale and add social features rapidly. Using it as a platform has been crucial to our success and will continue to be in the foreseeable future.
Most recently, we gave our users new and powerful ways to participate in idea-based conversations. We also rolled out innovative integrations with external social-networking sites and revolutionary ways to display your online resume. We'd like to showcase some of these new features to the Drupal community, and hopefully get some more great ideas from you guys!

drupal 6.14
uc 2.x
My very first Drupal site.
May i say a very big thank-you to all the drupal developers and users that have made my new website possible. Without their work and support i would have given up on this along time ago.
I have developed a website to allow business and private individuals the freedom of advertising with no costs inccured to them at all. The idea has been developed from my original aquatic website, which on almost completetion i looked at the costs of advertising in all aspects of media promotion and of course online. However the costs were astonoshing and what i could advertise was very limited ( an image link). So i put my brain into gear and developed my new site.
http://www.aquatic-directory.com/
The site is just about 3 weeks old and i am continuing to develop it as i learn what i can achieve with Drupal.
I would also like to thank my friend Lagerassassin, without his help again the directory would not have been possible. His site is also built via Drupal and i am astounded at just what he has done with his website. So Thankyou Lager.
I hope you like my site and if you have any suggestions i would like to hear them, the more i can learn the better my site will be.
Thankyou for taking the time to read and have a look at my website.
New website: Lateguide.com...advice and critics more than welcome

New website! http://www.futuremessage.org/
I just wanted to show people at Drupal.org my new website. http://www.futuremessage.org/
I wrote the module that allows people to send messages myself (this is the first module I have ever made). I also integrated the vertical tabs module into the form.
I would love some criticism or comments about the site!
Thanks!

Drupal vs Joomla Case Study for CB Aviation
Posted on 03/12/10
Updated on 03/16/10
Well It has been a huge debate of mine, as I am sure it has many, whether to use Drupal or Joomla as my CMS for my websites. I have been using Joomla for some time and have built few sites under the joomla CMS, although with many frustrations. I have recently been semi-converted over to Drupal by some of the amazing features it includes. (such as multi-site capability, admin ui, integration, and ease of maintaining)
Because of the fact that a Drupal users seem to always swear by Drupal and a Joomla users visa versa, any research I have done on these two CMS have been very biased. Under the rare occasion I may come across a review where someone claims to have used both, generally in my opinion the person had a bad experience gave up and switched without giving both a fair chance.

Event website using Ubercart, node_profile and uc_node_checkout
Just live, a new event website build with Drupal. This website was created for a business conference in June 2010.
The website is using the following setup:
- Drupal 6
- Ubercart module (so we can have a webshop)
- Content Profile (to enable participants of the event to create a profile)
- Node checkout to link the profile with the webshop. Participants buy their profile. It is their ticket
- Many other modules were used, but this is the basic setup.
The theme used is a modified version of Simply Modern.

A clean style photography Drupal site
Photographers do not usually use Drupal for their showcase website. Preferable choices would be a blogging software or flash.
We have convinced Noogen Photography to select Drupal over other choices for future advanced features such as photo selling or community involvement. It has a very clean style, very few decoration to lighten up the photo themselves. Views Galleriffic module (http://drupal.org/project/views_galleriffic) is used to nicely display photos with thumbnails.
The website is here: http://noogenphotography.com
Your comments are really appreciated.
My second try at drupal on a site to showcase my friends airbrushing.
Hello all I help my friend put together a site to showcase his airbrushing and allow him try and get the word out in the area that he lives in that he is there and available to do custom airbrushing on cars and motorcycles. We used the Contrast theme and web form for the contact page along with galleries and light boxes modules for the galleries. It is kind of simple looking, compared to some of the others I have seen showcased, so I would be interested in hearing any feed back that could help use make the site better. Thanks in advance.
oops forgot the link here it is www.tigereyeairbrush.com

Quality International - Drupal Website, with Timesheet Management Backend
We have just finished off a brochure website for Quality International UK using Drupal 6. Much of the content is based and built with power and flexibility of CCK, Views and Panels.
The client wants the website to become a portal for their site over time, to kick off we have integrated RSS feeds on the front page based around the automotive industry using the Feeds module.
And finally, we built a bespoke Time Management System for their clients and quality engineers; we will look at releasing this as a module in the future. Basically, it allows engineers to upload their timesheets, and record the results of their days work, whilst the client can see this information by job, job no, date range and also by graphs.
Love to hear what you think, the website is http:/www.qualityinternational.co.uk.

Our first Drupal as CMS catalog with Flash Front End - AMFPHP style
This was a long hard learning curve.
http://lab.think-a-doo.net/CMS/PENS -- back end
http://lab.think-a-doo.net/RIACatalog/Main.html -- front end
We wrote the whole front-end in pure AS3 and connect to Drupal 6.15 through the new AMFPHP 1.9 server.
Looking at the performance, it was well worth the effort.
Drupal can change everything you see on the screen, the Backgrounds, the Product info and images, the Logo associated with the product. Taxonomy is used to create the category menus too.
The whole site is maintained by Drupal.
The application is designed to run in browser full screen mode. (see trouble with fixed size discussion below)
EDIT: I am currently preparing the AIR application pending our investigation into 960.gs and BluePrint. If 960.gs or BluePrint can offer the same layout control we would like to keep Drupal for the browser, AS3 version (which made the current front end) for AIR and Drupal for the cell Phone (although that is not an original design requirement)
